Total Chaos in Germany: PSG Hit Leverkusen for Seven
PSG Run Riot in Germany with Seven-Goal Masterclass
It was supposed to be a tough night for Bayer Leverkusen — facing the European champions, unbeaten, confident, and ruthless. But few expected just how wild things would get. Paris Saint-Germain stormed through Leverkusen 7–2 in a Champions League thriller that had it all: red cards, penalties, chaos, and pure class.
Lightning start
PSG wasted no time showing their swagger. Just seven minutes in, Nuno Mendes whipped in a perfect cross, and Willian Pacho rose highest to nod home his first goal for the club — a dream moment for the Ecuadorian defender on German soil.

The visitors looked comfortable, and they nearly doubled the lead when Bradley Barcola pounced on a loose ball, only for Kvicha Kvaratskhelia to miss the final touch.
Leverkusen slowly started to find their feet, with young Claudio Echeverri at the heart of everything. His clever run forced a handball from Illia Zabarnyi, earning a penalty. But Alejandro Grimaldo’s effort kissed the post and stayed out — a miss that would haunt the home fans.
Chaos and red cards
Things went from bad to worse. Captain Robert Andrich saw red for an unnecessary elbow on Désiré Doué. And minutes later, Zabarnyi gave away another penalty — and received a second red for his troubles. Two men down before halftime.
Aleix Garcia buried the penalty to make it 1–1, but the joy didn’t last. Within four minutes, PSG sliced through the Leverkusen defence, with Doué finishing calmly to restore the lead.

PSG unstoppable
Once PSG got going, there was no stopping them. Kvaratskhelia smashed home a curling shot for 3–1, and Doué added another moments later to make it 4–1 before the break. It was ruthless, clinical, and pure entertainment.
Early in the second half, Nuno Mendes joined the party with a sharp finish to make it five. Leverkusen fought back briefly — Garcia again with a thunderous strike for 5–2 — but PSG were just warming up.
Ousmane Dembélé returned from injury — and from Ballon d’Or glory — to score within minutes of coming on, poking home through the keeper’s legs. As if that wasn’t enough, Vitinha unleashed a rocket from the edge of the box to seal the 7–2 win.
Statement made
Seven goals, two red cards, and a display full of flair — this was PSG at their devastating best under Luis Enrique.
Leverkusen, meanwhile, are still searching for their first European win — and licking their wounds after a night to forget.
