Inter Milan Crush Lazio to Take Control of Serie A
Lautaro Leads the Charge as Inter Go Top
Inter Milan are back on top of Serie A after a dominant 2–0 victory over Lazio at the San Siro. Captain Lautaro Martínez set the tone early, and Ange-Yoan Bonny sealed the win just after the hour mark. Cristian Chivu’s side now head into the international break above Roma on goal difference, having claimed their third straight league victory.

Lightning Start from the Champions
The game began in perfect fashion for Inter. Just three minutes in, Alessandro Bastoni won the ball from Gustav Isaksen on the left and passed to Martínez. The captain did not hesitate, smashing the ball into the top corner past a frozen Ivan Provedel.
Lazio looked stunned. Inter’s confidence grew as Nicolò Barella floated in a cross that Petar Sucic almost turned into a second goal. The midfielder’s volley slid just wide of the far post, keeping the score at 1–0.
Inter’s Total Control
The Nerazzurri completely dominated the game. Martínez fired over after another quick attack before Inter’s teamwork brought the second goal they deserved.
Carlos Augusto drove forward and sent Martínez down the left. The Argentine leader then set up Federico Dimarco, who crossed low across the six-yard box. Bonny arrived at the far post and calmly tapped in for 2–0.
Moments later, Inter believed they had a third. Piotr Zielinski struck from the edge of the box, but after a VAR review, the referee ruled the goal out for a handball by Dimarco in the buildup.

Lazio’s Late Reaction
Lazio finally woke up after their reprieve. Pedro came close with a curling shot that flashed wide, and substitute Oliver Provstgaard nearly brought the visitors back into the game when his header hit the underside of the bar before Yann Sommer caught it just in time.
Sommer remained alert, later denying Luca Pellegrini’s long-range strike as Inter comfortably held on.
It was another statement performance from Chivu’s men. Inter are top again, full of rhythm, confidence, and belief that this could be their season once more.
