DE BRUYNE DESTROYS WELSH DREAMS! BELGIUM STRIKE BACK IN CARDIFF CHAOS!

Early Fire, Loud Crowd and a RAT?!

Cardiff roared. The lights, the songs, the giant “Fire in Their Blood” banner — Wales came out blazing. And then… chaos.

Before kickoff, the Cardiff City Stadium was already electric, but nobody expected the night’s first viral moment to come from a rat running across the pitch — chased by none other than Brennan Johnson! Even Thibaut Courtois couldn’t stop that invader.

Then came the football — and for seven glorious minutes, Wales believed.

Rodon Ignites Cardiff Dreams!

Inside eight minutes, Joe Rodon rose high and powered home a Sorba Thomas corner to give Wales the perfect start.
The crowd erupted. Red shirts flew everywhere. Even Rodon’s knee slide turned into a tumble, but nobody cared — Wales led Belgium!

For a moment, it felt like 2016 all over again. But football gods can be cruel.

De Bruyne Steps Up… Twice!

Belgium fought back fast. After a VAR check on Ethan Ampadu’s handball, the referee pointed to the spot. Kevin De Bruyne stepped up — ice-cold — and sent Karl Darlow the wrong way.

Craig Bellamy’s protests earned him a yellow card and a touchline ban, but the worst was yet to come.

Jeremy Doku, unstoppable down the wing, tore Wales apart. His blazing run set up Thomas Meunier, who smashed in Belgium’s second from long range. Just like that, Wales’ dream start was gone.

Wales Fight Back — But Belgium Too Strong

To their credit, Bellamy’s men didn’t fold. Jordan James forced Courtois into a save, Harry Wilson fired wide, and the crowd stayed loud. But Doku kept terrorizing the flanks — and Wales’ defence looked rattled.

Then came the killer moment. With 15 minutes left, another VAR check… another penalty. This time, James handled the ball trying to block a cross.

De Bruyne again. Bottom corner. Game over.

Broadhead’s Hope, Trossard’s Answer

Substitute Nathan Broadhead gave Wales brief hope, pulling one back late on — but within seconds, Leandro Trossard buried another at the other end. 4–2. Belgium clinical. Wales crushed.

For Wales, it’s a nightmare — two matches, five goals scored against Belgium, and still nothing to show. Bellamy called it “hard to take,” and fans know why.

What Now for Wales

With automatic qualification now almost gone, the Dragons will have to fight through the playoffs if they want to reach North America next summer.

Cardiff’s fire burned bright — but Belgium’s brilliance, led by De Bruyne and Doku, turned dreams into dust.

Can Wales rise again when it matters most?
