Lewandowski punishes Mallorca after Rashford creativity

Barcelona controlled possession from the opening stages and eventually broke through in the 29th minute following excellent work from Marcus Rashford down the left flank.

Rashford’s initial effort was blocked, but Lewandowski reacted quickly inside the penalty area. The experienced striker showed his trademark composure by controlling the loose ball, evading a defender, and calmly finishing past goalkeeper Leo Román to give the hosts the lead.

Rashford nearly doubled Barcelona’s advantage just before halftime when his curling free kick forced a spectacular save from Román. The rebound fell kindly to Jules Koundé, whose mishit shot found Yamal just yards from goal, but the young winger surprisingly missed an open opportunity from close range.

Yamal brilliance and Bernal breakthrough seal victory

Yamal responded in style during the second half. The 18-year-old winger produced a moment of individual brilliance in the 61st minute, drifting past a defender on the edge of the box before unleashing a powerful curling strike into the bottom corner. The shot was struck so cleanly that Román was left motionless as the ball flew into the net.

Barcelona continued to dominate proceedings and added a third goal in the 83rd minute through another promising young talent. A quick passing sequence sliced through Mallorca’s midfield, sending Marc Bernal clear on goal. The teenager showed impressive composure to cut inside his marker and finish confidently inside the post, scoring his first goal at senior level.

The victory highlighted Barcelona’s attacking quality and squad depth, with both established stars and emerging talents playing key roles as the club continues its pursuit of the league title.
