January Transfer Window Heats Up Across Europe

Big Clubs Start to Move Early

The winter transfer window is now open across Europe and clubs are slowly starting to act. While some teams are waiting for the right moment, others are already laying the groundwork for major moves before the deadline arrives.

Arsenal Monitoring Arda Güler Situation

Arsenal remain focused on long-term planning after spending heavily last summer. One name they continue to track is Real Madrid midfielder Arda Güler. The 20-year-old started the season with promise but has seen his role reduced in recent months. With a new coach at Madrid, his future is unclear.

Despite the interest, Arsenal are not expected to make a move in January unless a late opportunity appears. A summer transfer is seen as far more realistic if Güler becomes available.

Manchester City Close In on Marc Guéhi

Manchester City are actively searching for defensive reinforcements due to multiple injuries at the back. Marc Guéhi has been a long-term target and sources suggest a deal is now close.

Crystal Palace are prepared to sell rather than lose the England international for free in the summer. City appear to have convinced Guéhi that moving now is the right step, with Palace manager Oliver Glasner confirming talks are in the final stages.

PSG Watching Enzo Fernández Closely

Paris Saint-Germain are expected to sign a midfielder in the summer and Chelsea’s Enzo Fernández is firmly on their radar. Both Luis Enrique and Luis Campos admire his versatility, but any deal would be complicated.

Chelsea are under no pressure to sell and Fernández remains under contract until 2031. Unless the player pushes for a move, PSG know a transfer will be extremely difficult to complete.

Uncertainty at Chelsea and Quiet Barcelona

Chelsea’s new manager Liam Rosenior is expected to reshape the squad, with Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi both likely to leave. Meanwhile, Barcelona are unlikely to make major signings this month. João Cancelo’s loan arrival may be their only move, although several young players could depart for game time.

As January progresses, the pressure will increase and more clubs may be forced into action.
