Barcelona Eye Harry Kane as Lewandowski Replacement

Barcelona have made Harry Kane their main target to replace Robert Lewandowski at the end of the season. The Spanish champions believe the England captain is the perfect option to lead their attack in the coming years.

Kane could leave Bayern for £57m

Kane, 32, has been a major success at Bayern Munich since joining from Tottenham in 2023 for £100m. He has scored 108 goals in 113 games and helped Bayern win the Bundesliga last season.

Barcelona are ready to activate a clause in his contract that would let him leave for £57m next summer. Kane said last month he is open to staying at Bayern until 2027, but a move to Camp Nou could tempt him as he looks for new challenges.

Rashford also part of Barça’s plans

Barcelona already have another English star on their books. Marcus Rashford is on loan from Manchester United, and his contract includes an option to buy for £30m. The club are considering keeping him permanently.

Laporta ends Messi rumours

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has ruled out any chance of Lionel Messi returning to the club. Messi recently visited Camp Nou, which started speculation about a possible comeback. Laporta said it is not the time to talk about things that are not realistic.

What it means for Barcelona

Lewandowski’s deal ends in June, and Barcelona want a smooth transition in attack. Bringing in Kane would give them a proven goalscorer still at his peak. A front line with Kane and Rashford could mark the start of a new era for the club.
