Tottenham and Man United Ready for a Fiery Clash in London

Spurs Bounce Back in Style

Tottenham head into Saturday’s Premier League clash full of confidence after crushing Copenhagen 4-0 in the Champions League. The London side had been booed by their own fans after losing to Chelsea, but Micky van de Ven’s stunning solo goal and Joao Palhinha’s late strike helped restore the mood.

Coach Thomas Frank believes his team is finally showing progress both in style and structure. However, fans are still waiting for consistency. Spurs sit sixth in the table, just one point behind Liverpool, and they could win three straight league matches against Manchester United for the first time since 1960.

Despite their strong position, Tottenham’s home form is worrying. No Premier League side has lost more home games in 2025 than Spurs. Frank himself has endured a poor run at home across his time with Brentford and now Tottenham, losing nine of his last sixteen league matches.

United Finding Stability Under Amorim

Manchester United’s season began in chaos but new boss Ruben Amorim seems to have steadied the ship. After a painful 3-1 loss at Brentford, United have gone four games unbeaten in the league. Their 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest last weekend showed both their attacking threat and defensive weaknesses.

Amad Diallo’s superb volley rescued a point and kept United in touch with the top six. Amorim’s message to his players has been clear: keep the intensity high. The Portuguese manager believes his side is “giving everything” and has the potential to improve further.

Currently eighth in the table and level on points with Tottenham, United are chasing a fifth straight game without defeat for the first time since early 2024. Still, history is against them — they haven’t beaten Spurs in seven meetings and have lost the last four.

Team News

Tottenham’s injury list remains long. James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Radu Dragusin, Dominic Solanke, Yves Bissouma, Ben Davies, Kota Takai and Archie Gray are all out. Lucas Bergvall also misses out under concussion protocols. Mohammed Kudus is doubtful, while Joao Palhinha and Djed Spence are likely to return to the starting lineup.

For United, Lisandro Martinez is close to returning but will likely wait until after the international break. Harry Maguire could replace young defender Leny Yoro, while Bruno Fernandes will lead the team from midfield alongside Casemiro.

Prediction

Both teams can score and both can collapse. With so much attacking talent but fragile defences, this could be a thrilling game. Spurs have home advantage, United have momentum. Expect goals, energy, and frustration in equal measure.
