PSG ON FIRE! Champs Destroy Atalanta in Ruthless Start

Paris Saint-Germain showed no signs of slowing down in their Champions League title defence as they crushed Atalanta at the Parc des Princes. The holders came out flying, attacking from the first whistle, and captain Marquinhos needed just three minutes to set the tone. Fabian Ruiz slid a low ball across the box, and the skipper calmly side-footed it into the net.

The crowd roared, the champions were back.

Chances Everywhere!

PSG didn’t just score early, they created chance after chance. Nuno Mendes fired narrowly wide, young Senny Mayulu saw his shot deflected over, and keeper Marco Carnesecchi pulled off save after save. Barcola was denied, Hakimi too — but everyone inside the stadium knew more goals were coming.

Atalanta looked nervous, their defence stretched and panicking every time PSG surged forward.

Kvaratskhelia’s Solo Stunner

The second goal came in breathtaking style. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia picked up the ball, ran straight at Atalanta’s defence, and unleashed a fierce strike into the corner from 18 yards. A solo goal full of confidence, power and flair — the Parc erupted.

At that moment, it felt like PSG were unstoppable.

Penalty Drama

Before the break, PSG had a golden chance to make it three. Marquinhos was fouled inside the box, and the referee pointed straight to the spot. With Ousmane Dembélé and Desire Doué out injured, Barcola stepped up. But his tame effort was easily saved by Carnesecchi. A let-off for Atalanta, but only a small one.

No Mercy After Half-Time

Five minutes into the second half, Nuno Mendes made amends for his earlier miss. Racing down the left, he drilled the ball past Carnesecchi from a tight angle to make it 3-0. Atalanta were beaten, PSG were cruising, and Luis Enrique watched calmly from high in the stands.

Late Gift Wrap

As if things weren’t bad enough for the Italians, Raoul Bellanova’s awful backpass in stoppage time handed PSG another. Gonçalo Ramos pounced, rounded the keeper, and slotted home for 4-0. Ruthless, efficient, and clinical.

Champions Look Even Stronger!

From start to finish, PSG dominated. Atalanta barely threatened Lucas Chevalier in goal. Instead, all eyes were on PSG’s firepower, their pressing, their energy. This wasn’t just a win — it was a statement to Europe.

The holders face Barcelona and Bayer Leverkusen next, before blockbuster home clashes with Bayern Munich and Tottenham. Atalanta, meanwhile, will hope for better when they host Club Brugge. But after this performance, one question is on everyone’s lips: Can anyone stop PSG from going back-to-back in Europe?
